History

Today one can describe NIKAMED history as the start of the orthopedics market in Russia. The company was established in the middle 1990s, the time when the Russian market itself was making its very first steps.

1996

NIKAMED is founded as a branch of Delta Term research and production company. The new company’s objective was to organize sales of medical orthoses.

Successful cooperation of Delta Term and NIKAMED marks a bright start for the work of the group of companies.

2000

NIKAMED rapid growth leads to changes in the company hierarchy. The company opens sales and marketing departments, acquires a new warehouse and moves into a spacious office in close proximity to the city center (Bumazhniy Proezd).


2001

This year witnesses a major breakthrough of our business and development of new multi brand strategy.

Establishing partnership with Elastic Therapy, Inc., NIKAMED starts its cooperation with foreign producers. Joint efforts make it possible to bring VENOTEKS compression stockings to the Russian market.

2004

Launch of sales of Orlett professional orthoses becomes the biggest success of 2004.

NIKAMED changes its image and carries out corporate rebranding. New concept entirely changes the idea of orthopedic centers in Russia.

2005

NIKAMED establishes new branches within the company structure.

2005 sees opening of NIKAMED’s Corporate In-house Training Center.

2006

NIKAMED continues developing its image aimed to represent the company’s leading position on the Russian market.

Spring, 2006. NIKAMED takes under patronage Moscow State Orphanage # 7 which takes care of kids with various neurological conditions.

2007

NIKAMED is awarded the Profession is Life Prize in the category Achievements in Healthcare.

Together with SCHELCHEN GmbThe we start a unique joint project aimed to provide patients with individual prosthesis.

Fall, 2007. NIKAMED represents its new concept of establishing partnerships in the pharmaceutical sector at the 14th “Apteka” International Specialized Exhibition.

2008

Spring, 2008. NIKAMED joins the AVSOMED Group, a leading expert on rehabilitation medicine in Russia.

Summer, 2008. In recognition of its outstanding work NIKAMED is honored the Health Idea Award in the category Innovative Technologies for Effective Healthcare and Better Life Quality.

Winter, 2008. The Orlett Company acts as a sponsor of the III Return to Life award established for Russian champions of Paralympics Games.

2009

NIKAMED starts working in the sports sector of the Russian orthopedics market.

Following the invitation of the Paralympics Committee NIKAMED becomes a member of the Presidium Board of the Russian Sports and Tourism Ministry.

NIKAMED continues its successful cooperation with its foreign partners. The company is recognized as the best European distributor of pedag soles. In the same year it’s honored with the title of the best exclusive distributor of TOGU products among 100 partners in 45 countries.

2010

NIKAMED has a reputation of a reliable partner among its clients and employees. SuperJob.ru experts recognize NIKAMED as one of the Best Employers of 2009.

NIKAMED continues carrying out joint projects with its foreign partners. Together with the Dutch producer Nea International it holds a training seminar in Eidnhoven aimed to enable Russian traumatologists to share experience and strengthen professional ties with foreign producers and colleagues.

2011

Today NIKAMED enjoys leading positions on the Russian orthopedics market. The company is granted the exclusive right to distribute products of VENOTEKS, Orlett, PUSH Braces, PUSH Sport braces, pedag, TOGU, Ortmann, BRONIGEN, FRESCO; TRELAX.
NIKAMED is present in more than 100 cities in Russia and the CIS.

NIKAMED today is a powerful group of companies that makes everything possible to achieve the set aims and goals. The company employs more than 600 people.
